82nd Armoured Recon Battalion
During the month of June I was privileged to accompany 40 French & German high school students visiting the sights of the Normandy Landings. On the 07th June 1944 I was also pleased to arrange the students participation in a special commemoration service with soldiers and association representatives from the 29th Infantry Division at the A.B.M.C. Brittany Cemetery. During which the students lay wreaths at the graves of four American Soldiers killed in the action to liberate Percy-en-Normandie in July/August 1944.
